🎻 About the Author

Xenia Huang was born on May 29, 2008, in Surrey, BC, and began her violin journey at the age of six. From the very start, music has been at the heart of her life.

She has performed Vivaldi’s Spring with orchestra, been recognized on CBC Music’s Top 30 Classical Musicians Under 30, and earned top honors at both provincial and national levels — including first place in the Performing Arts BC senior strings division and second place at the Canadian Music Competition (CMC).

As concertmaster of the VSO School of Music’s Sinfonietta and a member of the award-winning Astral String Quartet, Xenia has collaborated with world-class artists such as Hilary Hahn, Augustin Hadelich, and Ray Chen.

Beyond the stage, her greatest passion is sharing music with others. She believes the violin should feel welcoming, not intimidating — a source of creativity, confidence, and joy. Through her teaching and free online violin lessons, Xenia hopes to break down barriers for beginners and help every student discover the beauty of making music.

✨ Here, everyone is invited to begin their musical journey — one note at a time!
